General FAQs
Do I need to book in a meeting?

Yes. We no longer accept walk-ins due to our relocation. Please contact us to schedule a meeting.

How can I be sure it’s qualified advice?

To ensure you are receiving qualified advice, check that the person preparing your application is a qualified town planner and a member of the Planning Institute of Australia. At The Planning Professionals, all our planning consultants meet these professional standards.

Can I see your proven track record?

With 30+ years of experience in Geelong and beyond, The Planning Professionals have built a strong reputation and hundreds of happy clients. Our Google reviews speak for themselves. Clients praise our expertise, professionalism, and results. We know how Councils work, and we fight for our clients to achieve the best outcomes.

Payment FAQs
What are the cost for your services?

Our planning application process is streamlined, efficient, and cost-effective. Each step has a fixed fee, tailored to the size and complexity of your project – small, medium, or large. Simple, transparent, and easy to budget.

How can I pay my invoice?

Invoices can be paid via bank transfer using the details at the bottom of your invoice. We also offer direct payment, which incurs a small fee. Please note, we do not accept phone payments.

Town planning FAQs
Who can be a town planner?

Technically, anyone can lodge a planning application, but only a qualified town planner can do it right. Our team knows the rules, understands Council processes, and guides you to get it right the first time, saving you time, avoiding headaches, and keeping your project on track.

How long does it take for a planning permit to be issued?

Processing times depend on the project. Vicsmart applications are usually decided within 10 days, while most other applications take 3-4 months or more. Times can vary depending on Council resources and the time of year. At The Planning Professionals, we help streamline the process, follow up with Council planners, and minimise delays wherever possible.

Why is town planning so complicated?

Planning can be complex and highly regulated, but The Planning Professionals make it simple. We focus on solutions, not problems, navigate Council requirements, and manage the process for you – often so clients don’t even notice the complexity.
